if you wear size 4x, 5x or 6x, you’ll Save BIG on the 8-in-1 ANSI Class 3 winter Bomber Jacket from polar work tuff!

You know, being a distributor like us, it’s all guess work.  We make our best guess about how many jackets we’ll sell, and what sizes, and then we acquire that stock and put it in our warehouse.  Well, when it came to the 8-in-1 ANSI Class 3 Winter Bomber Jacket in large sizes – 4X, 5X and 6X – we just guessed wrong!

So now we’re left with a whole bunch of these big-sized 8-in-1 Winter Bomber Jackets, and frankly, we’re sick of looking at them!  So we’ve decided to blow them outta here, and we’ve priced them to sell!  For once, big guys get a break!

This is a fantastic jacket at full price.  At the sale price, it’s simply unbelievable.  It’s called an 8-in-1 bomber jacket because it can be worn eight different ways.  It’s like those Transformer movies.  You can transform this jacket into eight different jackets and vests, depending on what the weather is like.

1. It comes as a warm, waterproof, high-visibility ANSI Class 3 High Visibility Bomber Jacket with a heavy fleece liner that’s also a Class 3 jacket.

2. On warmer days, remove the inner fleece liner’s sleeves (they zip off).

3. If you’re still too warm, remove the whole fleece liner for a lighter weight Class 3 jacket.

4. Remove the outer jacket’s sleeves (they zip off too!) to expose the fleece sleeves for a lightweight jacket that’s still Class 3.

5. Remove the sleeves of both the outer and inner jackets to create a warm, fleece-insulated Class 2 vest.

6. Zip off the outer jacket sleeves and remove the fleece liner entirely for a lightweight Class 2 vest.

7. Wear the liner on its own as a Class 3 fleece jacket.

8. Zip off the liner’s sleeves for a Class 2 fleece vest.

That’s eight ways to wear this jacket, but actually, there is even more, because the jacket comes with a detachable hood that can be snapped onto either the outer jacket or the inner fleece jacket or left off entirely, so that’s four more ways!  You’ll never need another hi vis jacket or vest!

The outer jacket is made of heavy-duty, 100% polyester.  It has a dual cell phone/ID chest pocket with a clear outer ID pocket and a hook-and-loop flap closure, side slash pockets with black zippers, a dual pen pocket on the left sleeve, and microphone/radio tabs on both shoulders.

The Fleece Liner Jacket has two side slash pockets with gray zippers.

The 8-in-1 ANSI Class 3 Winter Bomber Jacket is available in Fluorescent Orange and Fluorescent Yellow, both with bright silver reflective stripes.  Both the outer and inner jacket meet ANSI/ISEA 107-2010 Class 3 standards when worn with sleeves and ANSI/ISEA 107-2010 Class 2 standards when worn as a Vest.

Regular price is $88.00, but now you can buy this jacket at eSafetyStore.com for only $65.00!  When you check out and go to your shopping cart, just be sure to enter BOMBER in the “Enter Coupon/Promo Code Here” box to receive your savings!  But remember, this sale price is for the 8-in-1 ANSI Class 3 Winter Bomber Jacket in sizes 4X, 5X and 6X only.

**While Supplies Last***

NOTE: BE SURE TO MEASURE YOUR CHEST – these run smaller because of the fleece liner. Give yourself extra room and size UP!

Cooling and Hydration in an ANSI Class 2 Surveyor’s Vest

Cooling and Hydration Vest at eSafetyStore.com

Working outside on a hot day near oncoming traffic? This vest from Vinatronics might just be the perfect vest for you.

High Visibility
First of all, it’s a bright green/yellow ANSI Class 2 high visibility polyester safety vest with 3M™ Scotchlite™ silver reflective stripes. If you’re working near oncoming traffic, or anywhere that it’s a good idea to be easily seen, any light source (like a car’s headlights, for example) is going to light you up like a Christmas tree. If you’re wearing this hi vis vest, people are going to see you. And you know, if you’re working near traffic, you definitely want the drivers to be able to see you.

Surveyor’s Vest
Second, it’s a Surveyor’s Vest, so it’s loaded with pockets – seven, to be exact, plenty of places to put your stuff. There’s a pocket for your cell phone, and even a huge zippered pocket across the small of the back where you can stick an entire clipboard.

Vinatronics Cooling Hydration Vests

Cooling Apparel
But here’s where it gets really good. This vest is also Cooling Apparel. To keep you cool and help avoid heat stress, the vest has two large pockets that hold freezer gel packs called Ice Bricks. Put the Ice Bricks in the freezer overnight, then stick them back in their special designated pockets, and they will help to keep you cool all day.

With a Hydration Pack
And last, but certainly not least, this vest has a Camelbak® drinking water reservoir built into the back. Now it’s hot, so you’re going to get thirsty, right? So you carry your own drinking water in the Camelbak reservoir. Just fill up the leakproof 50-oz long neck reservoir and slide it into its pouch on the back of the vest. A long drinking tube runs from the Camelbak reservoir, up over your shoulder and down the front of the vest, where it’s handy to get to. So when you feel thirsty and need some water, just put the end of the drinking tube in your mouth, bite down on the special valve, and rehydrate with a long drink of water. Another good way to help avoid heat stroke.

Four Vests In One
So you can see what a versatile vest this is. It’s high visibility, so oncoming traffic can see you and avoid running you down. It’s loaded with pockets for storing your personal stuff. It’s got the freezer gel packs to help keep you cool on a hot day. And it’s got the drinking water reservoir so you can keep yourself hydrated. Oh, and one more thing. It’s made in the U.S.A. So like I said, if you’re working outside near oncoming traffic on a hot day, this is the vest for you! You can find it at eSafetyStore.com. Click here.

Tingley Icon Hi Vis Jacket

Icon Rainwear at eSafetyStore.com
The Tingley Icon Jacket, already a solid choice for waterproof high visibility, has been updated to include a few features ideal for both outdoor workers and first responders.

Some manufacturers in the safety apparel industry aren’t the least bit concerned with style. That’s entirely fine as long as a piece of high visibility apparel has enough background material and reflective striping to meet ANSI standards. But we here at eSafetyStore kind of like style, and we like manufacturers that put some thought into their design.

The Tingley Icon Hi Vis Jacket

The Tingley Icon Hi Vis Jacket

That’s why we like the Icon Jacket by Tingley. The folks at Tingley recently added a few bells and whistles to the old Icon, which by all accounts was a fine all-weather rain jacket that offered the rare combination of waterproof protection and breathability. But now, the hi vis jacket is even better.

The Icon is now two-tone, offering a black bottom that hides dirt and grime. A clear ID pocket on the left chest allows for worker identification to be easily seen. The Icon has a vented cape back, mic tabs on both shoulders, and back D-ring access.

Bottom line: the revamped Tingley Icon is a darn fine hi vis jacket. And it’s functional. Not a bad combination.

A hi vis rain jacket and a pair of hi vis pants are both essential items for outdoor workers in the spring and early summer. It has poured in the Midwest over the last couple of days, and when I see road workers out in the rain, I always feel for them. But if they’re outfitted in quality hi vis rain gear, I feel a little better.

For a few safety apparel items, quality is worth every penny. You shouldn’t skimp on winter safety jackets, cold weather boots, winter work gloves, or hi vis rainwear. Rain gear is key, because once you get wet, the rest of the day is sure to be miserable.

Trilobal Rip-Stop Rain Jacket

Trilobal Rip-Stop Rain Jacket

One of the toughest hi vis rain jackets we’ve seen is the Journeyman Trilobal Rip-Stop Jacket. This bad boy meets ANSI Class 3 standards for a reflective jacket. It’s made from a 300 denier ripstop polyester that’s both waterproof and abrasion and tear resistant. Triple twined thread crosshatch creates small 1/8″ square cells. The edge of each cell is extremely durable which prevents tears from expanding.

Pants are an important part of any outfit (and not wearing them will get you into trouble). When it comes to hi vis rain pants we love the Black Series ANSI Class 3 hi vis rain pants from M.L. Kishigo. They are made from durable sealed-seam polyester, and they have a cool cargo pocket on the right leg.

There are plenty of waterproof hi vis options out there. Polyurethane-coated polyester and PVC-coated polyester both ensure that rain stays away from the wearer, which is a good thing. Because once you get wet on the jobsite, the rest of your day will suck. It’s best not to take that chance and invest in high visibility rain gear that’s both effective and built to last.

Big and Tall Hi Vis Workwear

High visibility apparel doesn’t always come in all shapes in sizes, but workers do. That’s why we have plenty of big and tall safety vest and hi vis clothing options at eSafetyStore.

Big and Tall Hi Vis Gear

Long sleeve reflective t shirts should be made to fit everyone, not just the average-sized worker.

Let’s face it, a few years ago sizing for hi vis clothing sucked (pardon my French). A slew of imports meant that you were rolling the dice when ordering what you thought was your ideal sized safety vest or reflective t shirt. The market has improved, and sizing has gotten better (thankfully, because there’s really nothing quite like a beer gut snugly held in place by a fluorescent yellow t shirt that’s two sizes too small). But one group had to wait a little longer before seeing their sizing needs met…the big and tall workers of America.

A few years ago we started receiving calls from outdoor workers asking for tall sizes in everything from hi vis rain jackets and reflective pants to reflective t shirts and hi vis sweatshirts. It wasn’t always easy to track down the hi vis safety apparel for our larger friends on the road construction crew. Berne apparel managed to recognize the big and tall worker before a lot of other safety clothing manufacturers, and thankfully they’ve been a part of eSafetyStore and Cold Weather Workwear for a long time.

Lately, it seems like it’s been a little easier finding bigger sizes in hi vis gear, and it should be. Workers slaving away on highway construction projects have a lot to worry about–traffic barreling past them at 50 miles per hour, texting teenagers, heavy equipment rumbling by, etc. Big and tall workers shouldn’t also have to worry about a pair of Class E hi vis pants riding up on them or a tiny “one size fits all” traffic safety vest fitting like a bright yellow sausage casing.

It’s clear that worker comfort wasn’t too much of a concern a few years ago. Thankfully, now some manufacturers seem to be adding comfort into the hi vis apparel equation.
